The health information you enter — symptoms, notes, and the contents of your consultations — is encrypted on your device before it ever reaches our servers. The encryption key is derived from your password, which we never receive or store. As a result, we cannot read your health data, and neither can anyone who might breach our systems.

This is a property of how the product is built, not merely a promise. It also means that if you lose your password, we cannot recover your encrypted health data on your behalf.

To operate the service, we handle a limited set of data that is not part of the zero-knowledge vault:

• Account details you provide, such as your name, email address, and phone number.
• Authentication data needed to sign you in securely (we store only a salted hash of your password, never the password itself).
• Basic usage and device information — such as pages visited, approximate region, and browser type — used to keep the service reliable and secure.
• Information you voluntarily share when you contact support or complete forms.

We use the limited data above to create and secure your account, provide and improve the service, respond to your requests, prevent abuse and fraud, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health data to train advertising or marketing profiles.

When you choose to book or contact a doctor, the specific details you decide to share are transmitted to complete that request. You control what is shared and when. Doctors listed on Jensei are independent practitioners responsible for their own handling of any information you provide to them directly.

We rely on a small number of trusted infrastructure providers (for hosting, delivery, and analytics) that process data on our behalf under contract. They may only use the data to provide services to us and are bound to protect it.

We keep account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or irreversibly anonymise the associated personal data, except where we must retain limited records to comply with the law. Because your health vault is encrypted with your key, deleting your account renders that data permanently unreadable.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@jensei.com and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure, and limited analytics cookies to understand how the product is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the service from working.

Jensei is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you within the service.
